    This is a good start.

    The "students first" is very difficult to read on the black background. The contact info (address, phone, etc) on the left is way to tight along the bottom of that curve. You want consistent margins in your design, and the curved box would prove difficult with text that close.

    I think the link text on the left side could be smaller - consider your links might be 2 or 3 words.

    I'd like to see the footer wrapped up with a consistent black bar (tying into the top masthead). Also, if you are going to split the AACC logo in two lines, you normally would check to make sure this is OK,and it would need to tighten up regarding line spacing.
